Dr. Paul Walker | Chair
Dr. Paul Walker is director of Thoracic Oncology at East Carolina University and has been the past Program Director and Chief of Hematology/Oncology for the Brody School of Medicine as well as the Medical Director for the Clinical Trials Office. Dr. Walker’s has multiple medical journal publications including cancer biotherapy with breast and lung cancers. Dr. Walker has been the principal investigator on multiple clinical trials including immune therapy, immune modulating and boosting therapies. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed his residence at Ball Memorial Hospital, and his medical oncology fellowship at the Medical College of Ohio.

Dr. Ben Boedeker is both a Professor and the Director of the Center for Advanced Technology & Telemedicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. A retired USAFR Colonel, Dr. Boedeker earned his MD from John Burns School of Medicine, PhD in Pathology from Georgetown University, and DVM from Colorado State University. Dr. Boedeker holds numerous patents in novel sustained release drug delivery systems.

Dr. Michael Davidson is a founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Corvidia Therapeutics, was the co-founding Chief Medical Officer of Omthera Pharmaceuticals that was acquired by Astra Zeneca Pharmaceutical in 2013, and founder of the Chicago Center for Clinical Research which was acquired by Pharmaceutical Product Development in 1996. Dr. Davidson has coordinated more than 1,000 clinical trials and has published more than 250 articles for leading medical journals. Michael received his BA/MS from Northwestern University and MD from The Ohio State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gilberto Lopes is the medical director for international programs and associate director for Global Oncology at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and associate professor at the Miller School of Medicine; he also serves as Editor-in-Chief for the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Journal of Global Oncology, previously worked at the Johns Hopkins University, has published more than 120 papers in journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer, and involved in more than 100 studies and clinical trials covering breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and thoracic cancers.
Dr. Glen Weiss
Dr. Glen Weiss is the Director of Phase I Clinical Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has published over 275 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts and has received research funding from institutions such as the American Cancer Society and the National Foundation for Cancer Research. He completed medical school at Sackler School of Medicine, internal medicine residency at SUNY-Downstate, and a hematology/oncology fellowship at University of Colorado, and earned a MBA at W.P. Carey School of Business. In 2016, he received the Healthcare Leadership Researcher of the Year award from AZ Business Magazine.
Dr. James Cantrell
Dr. James Cantrell has practiced Oncology-Hematology over 30 years and was a co-founder and President of Alabama Oncology, LLC and Medical Director of the Bruno Cancer Center. He has published over 20 peer reviewed articles and abstracts, and has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the US Oncology Research Program. He earned his MD and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University School of Medicine, and Fellowships in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Georgetown University Hospital.
